Croatia - The Rafting Adventure of a Lifetime
It's amazing, just a few short years ago a rafting adventure in Croatia would have been totally unthinkable; how times have changed, but fortunately, much of the stunning landscape that you'll see hasn't changed all that much.
There are going to be many adventures that you'll take during your life, and some of them may be in stunningly rugged countryside; but you'll find that there are few things that can compare with traveling along the Cetina River.
The canyons that you pass through offer their very own adventures, if you have the time to stop off and sample them, but if you can't then you'll know that the waterfalls, underground tunnels and lakes will be there waiting; as they have been for thousands of years.
Of course, the clear waters, waterfalls, caves, and high cliffs that you see while on the Cetina River may be too much of an adventure - albeit a slightly tamer one than flying down raging rivers, while trying to avoid submerged, as well as not so submerged rocks - for you to even think about stopping to do something else while rafting in Croatia; bedsides, on this trip you won't be too far away from the perfect spot to do all of that, anyway.
Just think of it; you'll spend three to four hours traveling with other people through a landscape that will transport you back in time. The journey won't be too difficult for most ages, so you'll have plenty of time to stare at the scenery that just gets better as you go rafting around each new corner, and you're going to wonder to yourself why you never thought of rafting in Croatia before.
It's true that rafting for three to four hours may sound exhausting but when you're on an adventure like this, through the still waters, that contrast so greatly with the rugged Croatian scenery, you won't really notice that you've done so much, in so little time. Well, not until you go to sleep at night and sleep more soundly than you'll have done in years. It can be tough work, but it's still something that you'll be pleased that you've done.
